22 Oct 2022 (Sat)

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) organized three interactive online briefing sessions on the City University Information Day in the afternoon of Oct 22.  Around 145 people attended the sessions and had a fruitful discussion with the major leaders.

Professor Yu-li Liu, Head of the Department, gave a welcome speech to the prospective students before the online briefing session.  Then, COM major leaders, Dr. Guanxiong Huang and Dr. Yuan Wang introduced two undergraduate programmes, Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication (BAMDCM) and Bachelor of Arts in Digital Television and Broadcasting (BATVB).  Next, Ms. Mandy Cheung explained the student internship arrangements and COM alumni, Kenny Yung, Tiffany Chiu, Kimmy Leung, Charles Wong and Jay Ng, shared their school activities and working experience with the audience.

A total of 10 site tours were arranged on that day.  The participants were guided to visit COM’s omnimedia digital newsroom, advertising design and shooting studio, as well as 3D virtual TV studio.  Over 260 participants visited the department and gained a better understanding of COM’s facilities and programmes.

The undergraduate programmes are suitable for those students who are interested in TV Journalism, New Media, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing areas.  Anyone who missed the online briefing sessions on Oct 22 can visit both programmes at the following webpages:
