Building a healthy internet: Australian professor Terry Flew explores regulatory approaches

On February 21st, Professor Terry Flew from the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Sydney delivered a lecture on the topic of, “Policy Futures for Digital Platforms” as a part of the Distinguished Scholar Lecture Series. In his talk, he explored various options for regulating digital platforms, ranging from further strengthening of self-regulation to nation-state governance, stakeholder activism, and transnational rights-based approaches. The lecture was attended via Zoom by more than 70 participants across the Asia-Pacific region.
