COM hosted three live online sessions on the 2021 CityU JUPAS Consultation Day

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) organized three interactive online briefing sessions during the 2021 CityU JUPAS Consultation Day on 22 May 2021. The online briefing session was opened by Professor Yu-li Liu, Head of the Department, who gave a welcome speech to the potential students. It was then followed by Dr. Crystal Jiang and Dr. Ki Joon Kim, the Major Leaders of the Department’s BA programs in Media and Communication (MDCM) and Digital Television and Broadcasting (TVB), who introduced COM’s undergraduate programmes, curriculums, extracurricular activities, CityU Talents Program, and application procedures.

Ms. Sonia Yeung, the Department’s Internship Coordinator, and student members of City Television, a student-run online news channel sponsored by the Department, also joined the briefing session to discuss various internship opportunities in Hong Kong and mainland China and the students’ learning experiences. COM’s alumni also shared their work experience at media companies such as RTHK, TVB, and Yahoo Hong Kong.
