Gender Representations in Television Advertising by Prof Michael PRIELER

COM hosted an online Zoom seminar on November 2, 2020 with Visiting Professor Michael Prieler, who gave a talk on gender representation in TV advertising. The presentation demonstrated how gender stereotypes are embedded in various TV ads from different countries in the world. Professor Prieler also showcased his own recent research suggesting that cultural masculinity may not necessarily be the antecedents of the prevailing gender stereotype. More than 50 participants attended the talk.
