The HUCOM Hong Kong delegation visited the Ministry of Education in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
The HUCOM Hong Kong delegation, consisting of university representatives from the eight UGC-Funded universities and led by Prof. Jennifer Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy) of CityUHK, visited the Ministry of Education in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with Mr. Enkhbayar Baatartsol, Director General, External Cooperation Department, focusing on undergraduate study programs and scholarship opportunities for Mongolian students in Hong Kong. The meeting established a clear communication channel and outlined tangible ways to connect Hong Kong universities with the Ministry of Education of Mongolia. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for potential collaborations that would enhance educational opportunities for Mongolian students and strengthen the academic ties between the two regions.
Strengthening Ties: Visit to the Mongolian Consulate in Hong Kong
Prof. Wen Jung Li led office members on a visit to the Consulate General of Mongolia in Hong Kong to explore opportunities for student exchange program and collaboration between Hong Kong and Mongolia. This visit marks a significant first step in fostering educational and cultural ties, aiming to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between the two regions.
Visit of Professor Clemens Kaminski, University of Cambridge to CityUHK
Professor Clemens Kaminski, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and Professor of Chemical Physics at the University of Cambridge, visited CityUHK as our Distinguished Visiting Professor (DVP). He was warmly welcomed by our President, Prof. Freddy Boey, and engaged in meaningful meeting and discussions with the College of Science. During his visit, he delivered an engaging seminar titled "Kingdom Darwin’s Enduring Influence: Pioneering Modern Molecular Engineering." His presence greatly enriched our staff and students, while also enhancing our research collaboration and academic enlightenment.
