CityUHK Hosts President of Goethe University Frankfurt to Advance Global Academic Collaboration

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) welcomed Professor Enrico SCHLEIFF, the President of Goethe University Frankfurt. The visit was hosted by Professor Wen Jung Li, Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy) along with Professor You Jin KIM, Associate Dean of College of Business and Mr. Carl TANG, Associate Director of Global Engagement Office..

The meeting focused on academic collaboration, student exchange and joint education. Both sides held comprehensive discussions on potential cooperation across various fields. . This visit has laid a solid foundation for long-term academic partnership between two universities, transcending geopolitical boundaries.

CityUHK Explores Collaboration Actively with Almaty Management University (AlmaU)

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) warmly welcomed a delegation from Almaty Management University (AlmaU), which was led by Dr. Sholpan Tazabek, Vice-Rector for Global Partnerships, together with Ms. Assel Aryn, Vice-Rector for Academic Development, and Ms. Aigul Sarenova, Director of the “Tolyq Adam” Institute. They were received by Professor Wen Jung Li, Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy). During the visit, both sides shared profiles, academic strengths and development goals, to explored potential opportunities for academic exchange and collaboration. Professor Omar Matar Visits CityUHK as Distinguished Visiting Professor

Professor Omar Matar, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, and our Distinguished Visiting Professor (DVP) visited CityUHK. During his visit, Professor Matar delivered an insightful seminar entitled “Numerical Simulations of Miscible and Immiscible Two-Phase Flows,” sharing his latest research advancements and perspectives with faculty members and students. In addition, Professor Matar also met with CityUHK senior management and engaged in productive discussions that fostered meaningful academic exchange. His visit strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for deeper collaboration between CityUHK and Imperial College London.
