Strengthening Ties: CityUHK Delegation Visits Cambridge

A senior management delegation from City University of Hong Kong, led by Council Chairman Mr. Michael Ngai and President Professor Freddy Boey, visited the University of Cambridge to explore multidisciplinary cooperation. The Council Chairman Mr. Ngai, a Cambridge alumnus, expressed pride in the relationship between the two universities, while President Boey emphasized opportunities for future collaborations. A significant achievement of the visit was the partnership formed between the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry at Cambridge and CityUHK's College of Science, aimed at enhancing educational and research prospects for students.

Revitalizing Partnerships: Visit from Smith Engineering, Queen's University, Canada

Prof. Kevin Deluzio, the Dean of Smith Engineering at Queen's University, Canada visited City University of Hong Kong. Prof. Jennifer Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy), along with other CityUHK representatives, warmly welcomed Prof. Deluzio. A primary objective of his visit was to discuss the renewal of the student exchange program with our College of Engineering and College of Science, further strengthening the bonds between our institutions and creating enhanced opportunities for academic collaboration.

Promoting Collaboration: Visit from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)

City University of Hong Kong warmly welcomed a delegation from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), led by Professor Meen Sheng Yap, Assistant Provost. The group was received by Professor Jennifer Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy), to discuss potential collaboration opportunities, particularly with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS). During their engaging discussions, they explored the possibilities of joint graduate and postgraduate programs, student exchange and mutual visit programs, collaborative applied research among faculty members, and short-term course collaborations.
