CityUHK Hosts Delegation from KU Leuven to Strengthen Collaboration

Prof. Wen Jung Li and Prof. Steven Wang warmly welcomed the delegation from KU Leuven, Belgium, to discuss ongoing collaboration following the signing of a MoU by the President of City University of Hong Kong, Freddy Boey in August 2024. The meeting focused on enhancing partnerships between CityUHK and KU Leuven. Furthermore, Prof. Bart Vanrumste, a researcher specializing in Machine Learning in Health Care at KU Leuven, delivered an insightful seminar titled “Time-series Analysis of Lower-Limb Movement in Older People with Parkinson's Disease and Increased Fall Risk.” This event was attended by staff and students at CityUHK, further enriching the academic exchange between the two institutions.

Advancing Global Education at CONNECTED-2024

Prof. Wen Jung LI attended the CONNECTED-2024 conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, where over 2,000 participants from 27 countries gathered to explore the future of humanity in the context of rapid technological change. The event featured leading futurists and experts who aimed to create a synchronized vision rooted in harmony and synergy. As a panel speaker at the Strategic Partners Forum, Prof. Wen Jung LI contributed to discussions on "Transnational Education: Development of a Global Hub in Central Asia." Additionally, Prof. LI engaged in productive dialogues with Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Kasymqyzy Duisenova and Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayassat Nurbek to advance the conference's objectives and foster collaboration in education and innovation.
