CityUHK and Ghent University, Belgium Forge New Partnership
City University of Hong Kong has signed a MoU with Belgium's Ghent University to enhance academic and research collaboration. This partnership, formalized by President Freddy Boey of CityUHK and Rector Rik Van de Walle of Ghent University, aims to strengthen ties between the two universities, promoting international academic, cultural, and scientific exchanges. The collaboration will encourage particularly to veterinary medicine and explored opportunities for collaboration in student exchanges and research.
Strengthening Ties: Consul General of Romania Visits City University of Hong Kong
Prof. Wen Jung Li, Vice President (Talent and International Strategy) of CityUHK, welcomed Mr. Mircea Gabriel Ciulu, the Consul General of Romania in Hong Kong, for a visit to the university. This meeting focused on strategies to increase academic partnerships, enhance student exchange programs, and foster research collaboration between CityUHK and Romania.
Strengthening Collaboration: Professor Colm Durkan's Second Visit to CityUHK
Professor Colm Durkan, Head of the Department of Engineering and Professor of Nanoengineering Science at the University of Cambridge, and our CityUHK’s Distinguished Visiting Professor (DVP), made his second visit to CityUHK. During this visit, he engaged with the College of Engineering (CENG) and met with department heads to discuss strategic partnerships. He delivered an insightful lecture for both staff and students, sharing his expertise and research results. The visit culminated in discussions on research and students’ collaboration, all warmly facilitated by Prof. Steven Wang. This engagement exemplifies the commitment of both institutions to foster future academic collaboration and create enriching opportunities for students.
