MoU Signing with CICV: Strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration in Intelligent Vehicles
Spearheaded by Prof. Jianping WANG, Dean of the College of Computing, VPTI recently signed a MoU with the National Innovation Center for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles (CICV: 国家智能网联汽车创新中心) during the "Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry Talent-Matching Conference" in Chongqing, China. This partnership will facilitate collaboration between CICV and CityUHK in several key areas, including the provision of international student internships and specialized talent-training programs tailored for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles industry. By bridging academia and industry, this strategic alliance aims to equip the next generation of international professionals with the skills necessary to drive innovation in the rapidly evolving field of intelligent vehicles.
CityUHK Explores Collaboration with Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency
Prof. Steven Wang represented CityUHK during a visit to the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP). As a public service agency under the Ministry of Finance, LPDP manages the National Education Endowment Fund and provides scholarships to cultivate Indonesia's future leaders. Throughout the visit, discussions focused on potential collaboration to establish a scholarship program that would provide financial support to Indonesian citizens pursuing PhD and Master’s degrees at CityUHK. Meetings with Mr. Hentri Wibowo, Head of the Scholarship Programme, Development Subdivision of LPDP, highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to enhance educational opportunities and foster international partnerships. Additionally, Prof. Wang visited Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and met with Rector Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi’uddin to discuss scholarship cooperation between CityUHK and UM, further strengthening ties in educational collaboration.
CityUHK Honored at Satbayev University's 90th Anniversary Celebration
Prof. Jennifer Lin represented CityUHK as part of a distinguished team of honorary guests at the 90th anniversary celebration of Satbayev University in Kazakhstan. During the event, she delivered a keynote address on "State, Science, and Business: Partnership for Sustainable Development," highlighting the crucial role of collaboration between government, academia, and industry in driving sustainable progress. Her participation highlighted CityUHK's commitment to fostering international partnerships and contributing to global dialogues on development and innovation
