Start Creating an Assignment On "Assignments" page, click + Assignment button.

Enable Turnitin when Creating Assignment
  1. Select Submission Type - Online, then enable File Uploads
  2. In "Plagiarism Review", select Turnitin

  3. Scroll down the list and select Turnitin (External Tool), click "Select" button

Update Due Time

Due time must be set.
Canvas Assignment Settings

  1. Click the Edit Assignment Settings button
  2. In "Assign To" block(s), set the Due Date
  3. Click the Save button
  1. To assign multiple due times to different student lists, please use Canvas Plagiarism Framework.
Turnitin Assignment Inbox

  1. Click the Settings button
  2. Set the Due Date
  3. Click the Submit button
Canvas Assignment Settings

  1. Click the Edit Assignment Settings button
  2. In the "Assign To: Everyone" block, set the Due Date
  3. Click the Save button
Set up Group Assignments
  1. Only one member of each group should submit the assignment to avoid increasing similarity scores.
Allow Multiple Files in a Submission
View Submission List in Assignment Inbox

To view submitted status of all students, visit Grades.

To check similarity of a submission, open SpeedGrader.
