Three CityU Science-led Local Start-ups Received up to HK$1 Million Each under HK Tech 300 Angel Fund

Three local start-ups led by faculty member and alumni of the College of Science have been selected to receive investment funding up to HK$1 million each, under the HK Tech 300 Angel Fund from City University of Hong Kong. With the investment funding, these start-ups are enabled to enhance their business development and boost innovation technology in Hong Kong and beyond by encouraging practical applications of the University’s research and technology output.

ITsci Company Limited

ITsci is a technology start-up developing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for pathology. ITsci specialises in applying AI to digital cell imaging, with its flagship veterinary diagnostics product focusing on cancer detection.

DataLouder Company Limited

DataLouder provides data-driven investment insights for retail investors and utilizes AI technology to guide investors through mass information.

Farm66 is an agriculture technology (AgriTech) company whose vision is to reduce the global carbon footprint of food production. They offer a high-tech farming solution to produce consistent, safe, high-quality, high-yield and fresh produce worldwide.

Apart from the above, CityU Science’s faculty members, students and alumni have taken the lead to establish a wide range of teams, including an award-winning team at the Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days 2022, to embark on their entrepreneurship journey with the support of the seed fund of HK Tech 300.
