In a chilly afternoon on 10 February, more than 1,000 staff members celebrated the Chinese New Year in a warm and jovial atmosphere in the Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall.
In the warm afternoon of 15 February, more than 1,000 staff members took a break from their work and rejoiced at the Chinese New Year Party, held at University Circle and in Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall.
Will the new salary scales and pay-raise system be an effective way to tackle the University's budget deficit? Is the pay-raise mechanism acceptable to existing staff? These were some of the questions raised by the more than 100 staff members who attended the open forum on these issues. The forum, held 14 April, was organized by the Human Resources Office.
Outside, the wind was chilly, but inside the Chan Tai Ho Multi-purpose Hall, where the New Year Staff Party took place on 28 January, the atmosphere was warm. A jovial spirit captivated some 1,000 colleagues who gathered there for what has become an annual ritual of good fortune, fun and camaraderie.
The Management Board, on 5 December, endorsed the administrative arrangements for the Departure Scheme:
