academic planning

Academic Planning

The Office of the Provost plays a crucial role in academic planning and policy development through supporting the work of the Academic Policy Committee (APC) and its Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS).  This involves the development, implementation and monitoring of academic matters affecting the University as a whole.

Academic Policy Committee (APC)

APC makes recommendations to the Senate on all matters regarding the development, implementation, monitoring and review of academic policy related matters.

Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS)

Subject to the general oversight of the APC, BUS is responsible for all aspects of undergraduate policy. It reviews and makes recommendation on academic regulations, policies and rules governing all undergraduate and associate degree studies.

Academic Conduct Committee (ACC)

Academic Honesty is central to the conduct of academic work. Under the guidance of APC, ACC is set up to determine, monitor and review the rules on academic honesty, the procedures for dealing with violations of the rules, and the penalties relating thereto.
