Professor Way Kuo visited the Orientation Camp organised by the Students’ Union and took part in dances and a tug-of-war battle with new students.
The CityU Taekwondo team collected nine titles at the National Taekwondo Championships for Universities in Beijing, while the Rowing Club earned seven awards at the Hong Kong University Rowing Championships.
CityU Student Development Services organised the welcoming ceremony for new students to help prepare them for their new life at the University. Professor Way Kuo encouraged students to maximise their University years and contribute to society upon graduation.
To welcome new students, CityU held an orientation sculpture display ceremony on 19 August. Memorabilia items donated by CityU members were encased in colourful wax and incorporated into a large sculpture. It will become a permanent exhibit on campus.
