The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of City University of Hong Kong is pleased to announce that Dr ZHANG Lin, Associate Professor of Department of Public and International Affairs, has been appointed as Editor of The Energy Journal, an official publication of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), effective from January 2024.

Dr Zhang’s research focuses on energy and sustainability economics, using tools such as economic theory, econometrics, and machine learning to seek policy solutions for regional sustainable development. He also delves into issues related to business and urban sustainability. According to metrics compiled by Stanford University, he has been ranked as one of the top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists.

IAEE has published The Energy Journal bi-monthly since 1980, disseminating new knowledge related to energy and related topics through a blend of theoretical, empirical, and policy-related papers in energy economics. As the flagship journal of IAEE, The Energy Journal is aimed at academics, industry professionals, civil servants, regulators, and the financial community. It has been recognized as the top journal in the field of Energy Economics and related policy studies, according to the ranking of economics journals by Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in France.
