More than 40 faculty and staff members from various departments exchanged views with Professor Way Kuo, President of CityU, on 29 October at a tea gathering organised to foster open communication within the CityU Community about University affairs.
CityU is holding its 2005 Congregation from 8 to 11 and 15 to 16 November. This year, through its provision of quality professional education, CityU has nurtured 5,296 graduates.
CityU plans to confer honorary doctoral degrees on Mr Ronald Arculli, the Hon Mrs Rita Fan, Professor Henry T. Yang and Mr Zhang Yimou in recognition of their significant contribution to learning and the well-being of society.
At the Senate meeting on 15 March, Professor H K Chang, President, reiterated that CityU has been developing in line with the role statement it received from the University Grants Committee in January 2004.
