Students taking the postgraduate course, SEE5114 Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development, offered by the School participated in a visit to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum on 7 March 2015 (Saturday).  The visit started with a guided tour to the museum which is divided into three floors, namely A, B and C-Deck.  Deck A is the Navigation Gallery showing the Maritime Communications, Navigation and Meteorology technologies.  During the visit at B and C-Decks, students explored a wide variety of maritime themes from safety on the sea to the underwater world.&nbs

Students taking the undergraduate courses, SEE3101 Thermosciences for Energy Conversion II and SEE3102 Energy Supply, offered by the School participated in the visit to The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited on 13 and 17 November 2014.

Shatin Sewage Treatment Works1
In order to enhance the understanding of the sewage treatment facilities in Hong Kong, a group of MSc Energy and Environment students and research degree students taking the course, SEE6213/SEE8221 Wastewater Engineering and Water Quality Assessment, from the School of Energy and Environment visited the Shatin Sewage Treatment Works on 28 October 2014 (Tuesday).

Students taking the Gateway Education course, GE1337 Urban Green City: Pollution and Solution, offered by the School participated in the visit to the Hong Kong Organic Waste Recycling Centre (HKOWRC) on 4 November 2014 (Tuesday).

A group of postgraduate students studying the course, SEE6101/8111 Energy Generation and Storage Systems, led by Dr. Denis Yu, visited the Castle Peak Power Plant (“ElectriCity”) on 1 November 2014. They were greeted by great sunshine and a veteran tour guide, Mr. Cheuk, who has been working at CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP) for 34 years.
