Over the past years, City University of Hong Kong has established itself as a regional scientific hub for Green Energy Innovation, Research, and Education.  As the University is planning to further strengthen the development in this strategic direction to tackle the global challenge of achieving net-zero carbon emission for sustainable environment, the School is conducting a cluster hiring of outstanding faculty in the field of energy generation, storage, and saving.  Candidates with research interests in renewable energies, particularly for new generation solar energy, solar fuels, and rechargeable battery technologies, integration of renewables and power grid are encouraged to apply.

Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Public Health and Environmental Microbiology) in the School of Energy and Environment and Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health (Joint Appointment) 

The School and the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health jointly invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of public health microbiology.  The position is part of the strategic development of both academic units to strengthen research and education related to microbiology.

Postdocs / Research Assistants in the field of renewable energy with the following requirements at the School of Energy and Environment

  • Duties
    The appointee will conduct research in at least one of the following areas: renewable energy conversion, energy storage, device fabrication, efficiency characterization.
  • Requirements
    For Postdoc applicants: a PhD degree in a relevant science or engineering field and publication record.  For Research assistants: a Master degree or Bachelor (Honours) or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering field and preferably research experience.
  • Salary and Conditions of Service
    Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
