CityU and the Chinese University of Hong Kong organised an e-book international conference on 3 June to enable librarians from Hong Kong and the region to exchange ideas on purchasing and using this electronic educational resource.

Two hundred participants from higher education institutions in Hong Kong, the mainland, Taiwan and Singapore shared their experience in and examined issues on e-learning at the “2006 e-Learning Forum for Greater China” hosted at CityU, 19-20 May.
CityU is organizing the “International Conference on Polymer Optical Fibre” from 20 to 22 September. The annual conference promotes the research, study and application of plastic optical fibre.
