CityU graduates have swept up most of the prizes in the Best Paper Awards at the 6th IEEE (Hong Kong) Antennas and Propagation/Microwave Theory and Techniques Postgraduate Conference.
The Ad-hoc Group on Prevention of Avian Flu was set up on 7 November to increase the awareness of staff and students about avian flu and ensure the University is taking the best possible precautionary measures.
More than 200 students and staff from different faculties and schools at City University of Hong Kong have taken part in the "Celebration Photo Showcase" competition. A prize presentation ceremony of the competition took place on 9 November.

The distinguished film maker Mr Zhang Yimou will receive an Honorary Doctor of Letters at CityU's 2005 Congregation, to be held from 8 to 11 and 15 to 16 November. Honorary doctorates will also be conferred on three other distinguished individuals.
CityU's Practice Gymnasium 3 was officially named the Winling Practice Gymnasium on 28 October in appreciation of the staunch support and generous contributions that CityU alumnus Mr David Hui has given to the University over the years.
