JCC is proud to announce a remarkable achievement by Miss CHEUNG Ling Yan, Ruby, a final-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) student. Her research on effective training methods for future veterinarians has been accepted for publication in the highly regarded Journal of Veterinary Medical Education (JVME).
On 26 August 2025, the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This visit aimed to enhance collaboration and exchange knowledge on critical issues surrounding animal health and production.
Joint Research Symposium Strengthens Ties Between JCC and Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences
On 22 August 2025, the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) hosted the second part of a joint symposium series with the Institute of Animal Health at the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The event, held on the CityUHK campus, built upon the success of the first symposium held in Nansha on 24 June 2025, further strengthening the collaborative partnership between the two institutions.

The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) and College of Veterinary Medicine at Yangzhou University have strengthened their partnership, embarking on a new chapter of academic and research collaboration to advance veterinary medicine and public health.
The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC), in collaboration with industry partners in Nansha, Guangzhou, organised its inaugural swine husbandry extramural study placement for Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) students in May–June 2025. This program provided BVM students with firsthand exposure to advanced pig farming practices, equipping them with essential skills for their future careers.
The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) celebrates a milestone achievement as Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) student, Miss Jung Yoon LEE, receives funding from the Morris Animal Foundation for her research project on pain assessment in cats and dogs. This marks the first time a BVM student has earned this recognition, made possible through the nomination of her project supervisor, Professor Paulo Steagall, Professor in Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, who recognised the potential of her innovative research.
