Why do we need a companion animal clinic?
The companion animal clinic is an integral part of all veterinary schools. A veterinary clinic comprises specialists, general practitioners, veterinary technicians, students, customer service staff and administrators, who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of veterinary care. As a centre of excellence, the team is committed to providing exceptional client and patient care, utilising the most current technologies available in veterinary medicine while contributing to the knowledge, innovation and advancement of the veterinary profession. The Centre also provides a clinical environment for the training and mentoring of future veterinarians, veterinary nurses and technicians, and advanced veterinary specialty training.
In 2016, CityU acquired full ownership of Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic, the leading veterinary clinic offering first opinion and referral veterinary services to the companion animals in Hong Kong, and it became known as the CityU PAVC. In 2019, CityU PAVC was renamed CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (CityU VMC) and moved to its current location in Trinity Towers, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.
