A group of 30 volunteer student mentors from the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme is leading a city-wide effort to instill strong animal welfare values in young people. As part of the Hong Kong Police's Animal Watchers Programme (AWP), the BVM student mentors have successfully completed visits to 37 secondary schools, engaging directly with local youth.
Through this initiative, our future veterinarians shared essential principles of animal care, enriching local students' learning while applying their own knowledge to give back to the community.
