JCC Welcomes Delegation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) to Strengthen Research Collaboration
On 6 June 2025, the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) was delighted to host a distinguished delegation from the School of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), alongside collaborating researchers, in a visit aimed at fostering academic partnership and advancing joint research initiatives.

College Excellence Awards 2025: A Second Year of Recognition at Town Hall
The College held its latest Town Hall Meeting for Semester B 2024/25 on 30 May 2025. The Town Hall Meetings, bringing together staff to celebrate achievements, share key updates, and discuss future priorities. A highlight of this semester’s event was the presentation of the College Excellence Awards 2025, which recognize outstanding contributions in teaching, research, and service. Established in 2024, these awards recognize staff members who demonstrate dedication, innovation and excellence in their work, furthering the College’s mission and enhancing the student experience.

CityUHK Milk wins dual honours at BDA Brand Award 2025 for outstanding brand image

Veterinary Community Outreach Programme Expands Impact in 2025
The Veterinary Community Outreach Programme (VCOP), an initiative spearheaded by the Centre of Animal Health and Welfare, is making remarkable progress in enhancing animal welfare and providing essential pet care services to underserved communities in Hong Kong. VCOP's mission focuses on owner education, practical pet care support, and targeted research to address region-specific challenges. With a dedicated outreach van, the programme ensures access to communities in need.

New Respiratory Care Unit launched at CityU Veterinary Medical Centre

The CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC) has recently launched new services at its purpose-built Respiratory Care Unit, “RES-CU.”

RES-CU is an intensive care unit designed for diagnosing, treating, and managing respiratory conditions. With specialists in Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Critical Care and Anesthesia contributing their expertise, pets receive the highest standard of care when admitted to Hong Kong’s only Veterinary Respiratory Care Unit, “RES-CU”.
