Job Description

Duties
The appointee will focus on formulation development for PU, Polyester, and TPV materials, including synthesis, modification, processing, and performance enhancement as alternatives to conventional petroleum polymeric materials. Responsibilities include:
Developing formulations, preparing samples, and conducting material characterization;
Conducting R&D work, including experimental design, experimentation, sample preparation, and data analysis;
Preparing project progress reports, meeting slides, SOPs, and other related documents; and
Undertaking any other duties as required.
Requirements
Master’s degree or above in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related disciplines;
Relevant knowledge or experience in:
Synthesis of PU, Polyester, or TPV polymers;
Vulcanization processes;
Foaming processes;
Polymer modification and formulation, such as altering molecular weight, flexibility, toughness, and crystallinity for properties enhancement; or
Polymer characterization techniques such as TGA, GPC, DSC, FTIR, NMR, etc.
Strong quantitative analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation;
Ability to initiate and work independently while effectively contributing to a research team;
Positive, analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills;
Strong sense of ownership for one's work, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage; and
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Engineer.
