Duties
The appointee will be responsible for incubating and developing advanced anode materials as well as binders for Li-Si alloy Lithium Metal Batteries. His/her core duties include:
Optimization of graphite-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries through functional coating and the development of advanced Si-based anode materials;
Designing and evaluating of various binder combinations/electrolyte systems for lithium batteries based on high-performance Si/C composite anodes;
Developing of high energy density battery prototype with high-specific anode and cathode materials;
Development of quasi-solid electrolytes/solid state electrolytes for high safety batteries; and
Perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Requirements
PhD or Master's degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline. Fresh graduates will also be considered;
Expertise in anode material development for lithium-ion batteries, including graphite, silicon, and lithium metal;
Experience in polymer electrolyte and solid-state electrolyte development;
Hands-on experience in battery fabrication and data analysis, as well as electrochemical analysis techniques such as cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS);
Familiarity with general material characterization methodologies, including SEM-EDX, DSC, TGA, Raman, FTIR, XRD, ICP, and GC-MS;
Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, "Can-Do" attitude;
Ability to perform effectively under pressure; and
Proficient command of English and Chinese, with strong report writing and presentation skills, as well as abilities in literature and patent searches.
