Academic Awards
When a student has completed the graduation requirements, the Dean will assess the student's overall performance in the study programme and recommend to Senate the conferment of awards with one of the following classifications:

For students admitted before Semester A 2022/23
- Students may be granted a postgraduate award if they have achieved a CGPA of 2.0 or above.
- For intake cohorts between 2010/11 and 2021/2022, the general guidelines for award classification based on students' cumulative GPA are as follows:
Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma/Master's Degree CGPA Distinction 3.50 or above Credit 3.20 - 3.49 Pass 2.00 - 3.19
For students admitted in Semester A 2022/23 and thereafter
- Students may be granted a postgraduate award if they have achieved a CGPA of 2.85 or above.
- For intake cohorts starting from 2022/23#, the general guidelines for award classification based on students' cumulative GPA are as follows:
Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma/Master's Degree CGPA Distinction 3.65 or above Credit 3.30 - 3.64 Pass 2.85 - 3.29 # Except for students in the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws programme, for whom the guidelines applicable to students admitted before Semester A 2022/23 will continue to be followed.
