Around 40 students of the Division of Social Studies (DSS), who participated in a 10-day trip to Taipei and Beijing, shared their experiences on 12 March. The trip was a soul-searching journey during which students compared youth behaviour of Hong Kong, Taipei and Beijing, and reflected on their own roles in society.

Dear Colleagues, At the end of my letter to you on 23 February on the funding scenarios for the higher education sector in 2005-08, I pledged: "Together with my senior colleagues, I'll strive to manage the process of budget reduction with priority on upholding the quality of the education we offer and maintaining the stability of our staff." Starting from the 2004 Entry, JUPAS applicants who have selected CityU's programmes as their Band A choices (choices one to three) can apply for the Self-Recommendation Scheme offered by the University.
