Four academics from CityU have been successful under the Senior Research Fellow Scheme and the Research Fellow Scheme (2023/24) established by RGC.
Organised by CityU and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club Project IDEA held its 1st annual exhibition from 3 to 7 August 2023. The exhibition showcased 28 artworks by participating secondary school students and three works by workshop instructors.

The President of CityU, Professor Freddy Boey Yin Chiang, led a delegation from CityU to meet with Mr Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, on 2 August. The first batch of local start-ups to receive investment funding under the HK Tech 300 Angel Fund from CityU has been announced on 26 April 2022.
