The Department of Electronic Engineering of CityU was ranked second worldwide, according to a recent survey conducted by Yuan Ze University in Taiwan.
CityU graduates have swept up most of the prizes in the Best Paper Awards at the 6th IEEE (Hong Kong) Antennas and Propagation/Microwave Theory and Techniques Postgraduate Conference.
Double congratulations are due to Dr Kenji Yum. Not only will he graduate from CityU this week with a PhD in Electronic Engineering, he has also been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in the 2005 Hong Kong Young Scientist Awards.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering is holding a 3-day exhibition on campus from today to 27 May to showcase nearly 100 student projects from its eight departments.
Some 53 prizes were awarded to secondary school students for outstanding performance in technology learning activities during the “Technology Project Competition for the Youth 2005”, held at CityU on 14 May.
