Mr David Cheung Wai-sun, a master graduate of the School of Creative Media, has invented a "High Sensitivity Field Interference Wander Detector" to help prevent old people from wandering away. The detector has been installed in six local elderly homes.

CityU is holding "Japan Week 2007" from 9 October to 12 October to enhance students’ understanding of Japanese language and culture.
Some 14,000 visitors flocked to the campus on CityU's Information Day, 25 September 2004. The event provided prospective students with information and tips for selecting programmes at the University.
