Four CityU students share their experiences as participants of a 17-day China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth 2010, which included a meeting with Mr Jia Qinglin, one of the state leaders of China.
The Inaugural International Alternative Dispute Resolution Mooting Competition held at CityU ended on 14 August. The moot team of Murdoch University from Australia emerged as the overall winner while the School of Law of CityU was the runner-up.
The world’s first mooting competition to combine arbitration and mediation to resolve a simulated dispute in court case will be held at CityU from 8 to 14 August.
Announced on 5 January 2004, a team of students from the School of Law (SLW) was among the 28 teams from around the world selected to participate in the English-speaking session of the prestigious Jean-Pictet Competition, 10-17 April, in Méjannes-le-Clap, France. This year, there were 79 applications. The CityU team, comprising LLB students Beverly Koo, Yvonne Pang and Nicky Sai Hang Tse, were the first from China to take part in the Competition.
