The inauguration ceremony of CityU's first Standing Committee of the Convocation was held on 7 April, marking a milestone in the development of alumni relations at CityU.
CityU is to confer the title of Honorary Fellow on four distinguished persons in recognition of their distinctive contribution to the development of, and service to, the University.
The 17th Congregation marked a new chapter in the lives of this year's 6,864 graduates. Upon their shoulders rests the future, and CityU's President Professor H K Chang reminded them in his address, "You cannot plot out your life story and anything is possible," he said. "With hard work and determination you can succeed in anything you do and go anywhere you choose. The future is yours."
CityU Banquet, one of the biggest annual functions held by the Students; Union, took place at the University Circle on 8 November. The event was well received, with a record over-subscription for tickets.
