Four CityU students share their experiences as participants of a 17-day China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth 2010, which included a meeting with Mr Jia Qinglin, one of the state leaders of China.
The Inaugural International Alternative Dispute Resolution Mooting Competition held at CityU ended on 14 August. The moot team of Murdoch University from Australia emerged as the overall winner while the School of Law of CityU was the runner-up.
The world’s first mooting competition to combine arbitration and mediation to resolve a simulated dispute in court case will be held at CityU from 8 to 14 August.
"Translating legal precedents from the mainland has been such a lonely endeavour. Now I feel my efforts are being recognized and hope that more people will give their support," said Dr Priscilla Leung, Associate Professor in the School of Law, who has been chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons by the Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce this year.
