CityU is helping Hong Kong secondary school principals expand their horizons through a series of training programmes called "New Challenges for the New Century".
The house shook. The picture hanging on the wall and the plant pots on the table almost tumbled to the floor. But the people inside the house were far from panicking. They were, in fact, excited to experience the vibrations.
At an inauguration ceremony on 15 May to establish its Zhuhai Applied R&D Centres, CityU became the first local university to set up a research base in Guangdong's Southern Software Park.
The University has identified new areas of strategic interest in both inter- and multidisciplinary research, with the setting up of three new Faculty Research Centres: Centre for Chaos Control and Synchronization, Centre for Media Technology, and Southeast Asia Centre . With these additions, the number of faculty research centres at CityU now totals 10.
