Professor Michael Lam and the secondary school teachers attended the talk on STEM Education.

CityU is committed to serve the community and the school sectors of Hong Kong by supporting the teachers’ development programmes of secondary schools. Through bringing up-to-date academic knowledge to the teachers and education practitioners, we hope to help them to prepare and nurture talented Hong Kong students, and to better educate their students for future studies and careers.

To help meet the continuous needs of secondary schools and teachers, the College of Science (CSCI) participated in the Teachers’ Development Day@CityU (TDD@CityU) organized by the Office of the Provost on 10 December 2021. Around 200 secondary school teachers from Kau Yan College, Munsang College and SKH Holy Trinity Church Secondary School attended the event and were introduced to the HK Tech Tiger Programme, BOLD@CityU and admission arrangements by the senior management.

CSCI hosted one of the nine parallel sessions contributed by different Colleges and Schools. During the session, Professor Michael Lam, CSCI Associate Dean (Education) shared with teachers on STEM Education in CSCI, followed by a visit to the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution arranged by Director Professor Kenneth Leung.
