C02: Chirality: A Universal Phenomenon in Nature and Chemistry (手性：自然及化學界的普遍現象)

Chirality is a universal phenomenon in nature, observable in everything such as human's left and right hands, and even nebulae. This talk will introduce the fundamental characteristics of chirality, its relevant research fields, and its applications, particularly in chemistry. Finally, we will discuss chiral drugs to highlight the importance of asymmetric catalysis.

「手性」(即是鏡像對稱，卻無法完美重疊的現象)在自然界中普遍存在，廣見於例如人類的左右手，甚至是星雲。本演講將介紹手性的基本特徵、相關研究領域及其應用，特別是在化學領域的應用。最後，我們將討論手性藥物，以強調不對稱催化的重要性。
