Q1. Who can use Microsoft 365 Copilot?
A1. All CityUHK staff and students are entitled to use Microsoft 365 Copilot with their CityUHK's Microsoft account (Staff: eid@um.cityu.edu.hk, Student: eid-c@my.cityu.edu.hk).
Q2. What's the difference between the Basic and Premium versions of Microsoft 365 Copilot?
A2. Microsoft 365 Copilot Basic version is a general AI assistant included in the M365 license at no extra charge for both CityUHK staff and students. The Premium version is a chargeable and can be subscribed by CityUHK staff only, offering enhanced features including collaboration with Microsoft Office applications.
Q3. Are there any limit in using Microsoft Copilot for Enterprise?
A3. Unlike CityUHK ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot for Enterprise has no monthly cap on the message limit.
Q4. Does Microsoft share the questions and answers to anyone?
A4. Microsoft ensures the privacy of conversations with Copilot through Customer Data Protection, not retaining or using data for AI training.
Q5. What is the copyright of the generated content or images?
A5. According to the announcement from Microsoft in Sep, 2023, Microsoft does not claim any IP rights from the output of Copilot.
Q6. How to subscribe to the Premium version?
A6. Microsoft Copilot for M365 is applicable to CityUHK staff only and on a chargeable basis. Interested staff can refer M365 apps page for order placement or contact our IT service Desk for assistance.
