On 8 June, a delegation from Heilongjiang Province visited CityUHK. The two sides engaged in thorough discussions focusing on science and technology, educational development, and innovation and enterprise programmes. They are committed to seeking further collaboration opportunities and to contributing to the long-term development of the nation.

CityUHK has achieved outstanding results in the 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, placing 47th among more than 2,600 universities across over 100 countries and regions — a rise of 7 places from last year. CityUHK is ranked 9th in Asia and 3rd in Hong Kong.

Four outstanding undergraduates from CityUHK were awarded the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2026, in recognition of their innovative ideas and dedication to science and technology. Each awardee will receive HK$150,000 to undertake a series of elite-nurturing initiatives, including overseas and Chinese Mainland attachments, internships and mentorship programmes. They will also have the opportunity to engage in community outreach activities to translate their insights into practice and give back to society.
