From May to June 2023, 129 volunteers from the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) spent 825.5 hours in 11 community services and served 1,407 beneficiaries.
CEP volunteers devoted more time to in-person services, such as Visiting Energy Centre and taking photos with the elderly, Art Jamming - Canoe Oil Painting in Sai Kung, Global X-perience: Simulation x Service Day, Planning community services with primary and secondary school students III, and Making a bouquet with Kids for their parents.
At the same time, students put a lot of effort into serving the elderly through activities such as making soaps with them and visiting seniors who live alone. These activities can help senior citizens to unleash their creativity and have fun by make soap in the shape of traditional Chinese rice pudding. Some of their fruitful products were shared with their neighbours.
We are happy that all participants enjoyed and learned so much in the activities!
