Judith Schossboeck is a PhD candidate at the Department for Media and Communication at City University Hong Kong and HKPFS award recipient. She is also an affiliated researcher at the Centre for E-Governance at Danube University, Austria, where she worked as a research fellow in the areas of electronic participation and governance. Furthermore, she is managing editor of the open access e-journal JeDEM (jedem.org) and scientific co-director of paraflows.at (symposium for digital arts and culture in Vienna). Her research interests cover participatory cultures and activism, mostly in a digital media and bottom-up context. She is also interested in the ethical implications of data cultures and data science.
