The Court, the supreme advisory body of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), held its third meeting on 8 December, focusing on progress in priority areas identified last year by the Council.
Professor Way Kuo delivered a talk at the annual seminar of a professional teaching body Education Convergence, on 4 December, to share the results of his study on the relationship between teaching and research.
CityU held its Silver Jubilee Anniversary Banquet on 6 December, bringing together 900 friends, supporters, alumni, students and staff.
The Council approved the new five-year strategic plan of CityU, entitled “Excellence in Research and Professional Education”, at its meeting on 26 November 2009.
Professor Way Kuo was named by the International Academy for Quality as an Academician Emeritus. He was also invited to attend the 7th China Shanghai International Symposium on Quality and the Forum of International Academy for Quality.
