About 40 new student leaders at CityU pledged to serve their fellow students, the community and humanity at the 26th Students’ Union inauguration ceremony.
Eric Chen Zixiang, a Year 2 student in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, was runner-up in the Global Business Ethics Contest 2007/08, thanks to his advanced critical analysis and sophisticated debating skills.
Fourteen CityU students received scholarships from Hang Seng Bank and the Li & Fung Group respectively in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and leadership.
In keeping with the spirit of the Olympic Games, CityU is to take part in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2009. President Professor Way Kuo will lead the CityU delegation.
