More than 200 teams comprising secondary students from Hong Kong and Macau schools participated in the 12th Hong Kong and Macau Interschool Straw Competition 2009, organised by CityU Physics and Materials Science Society of the Students’ Union on 26 April.
In line with the caring culture advocated by CityU, more than 50 science and business students recently provided community service to people in need.
Among the eight local higher education institutions in Hong Kong, CityU was ranked third in terms of the percentage of successful applications for funding from the 2008-09 General Research Fund.
