CityU marathon team led by President Kuo embodies spirit of excellence in academics and sports
Once again President Way Kuo of CityU has led a team of around 240 athletes in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, which was held on 24 October. President Kuo has run the Hong Kong marathon with a CityU delegation for 12 consecutive years, except in 2020 because of Covid-19, exemplifying CityU’s spirit of excellence in both academics and sports.
CityU Art Festival 2021
Distinguished cellist Mr Ray Wang and a group of exciting young musicians performed famed classical masterpieces at “Fly with Rhythms”, the opening concert for the CityU Arts Festival 2021 at CityU on 8 October.
Some 50 CityU students have formed four teams to compete in the Robocon 2005 Hong Kong Contest. They will show off their robotic creations, which are sure to impress the judges.
Three final year mainland students of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE), Wu Boping, Huang Yuanyuan and Liang Xiangdong, talk about their learning experience at CityU and their further academic pursuits.
Fouzia Zafar, an LLB graudate with First Class Honours, will undertake further studies at the University of Oxford in October.
Ocean Park Hong Kong has teamed up with CityU's School of Creative Media to present a giant mural at Ocean Park to celebrate World Environment Day and World Ocean Day.
The Chinese Civilisation Centre's Shandong Study Tour programme attracted not only students. The President Professor H K Chang visited the 40 CityU students who were studying at Shandong University.
