Raymond Li, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at the Division of Building Science and Technology in the College of Higher Vocational Studies, has been re-elected Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Building, Hong Kong (CIOBHK) for 2001-02.
Displaying its dedication to education at all levels, CityU continues to roll out the red carpet for local secondary school principals. The visits, organized in batches, are one of the many activities organized by the Offices for Institutional Advancement to foster a spirit of cooperation and create a dialogue between the University and Hong Kong's secondary schools.
Featuring a two-day exhibition of over 80 works by final-year students in the Division of Building Science and Technology's Higher Diploma Programmes, the ninth annual Built Expo got off to a fine start with welcoming speeches by Mr C M Jeung JP, Director of Buildings, the Buildings Department of the HKSAR, and Professor Edmond I Ko, Vice-President, Education.
In a prominent display of its dedication to education at all levels, CityU rolled out the red carpet as principals from six local secondary schools were given an exclusive campus tour by Professor Y S Wong, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement.
Secondary school principals from Diocesan Girl's School, King's College, Homantin Government Secondary School, Bishop Hall Jubilee School and Lee Kau Yan Memorial School paid a visit to CityU on 15 January.
On 29 November, principals from six secondary schools: Clementi Secondary School, Fukien Middle School, Tang King Po School, Tang Shiu Kin Victoria Government Secondary School, Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School, and TWGHS Li Ka Shing College-- were given a tour around campus by Professor Y S Wong, Vice-President (Institutional Advancement), whose office organizes such tours to improve communication and cooperation between CityU and secondary schools.
