CityU's College of Higher Vocational Studies offers about 800 students each a handheld computer to better integrate their study with campus life, with the support of two enterprises, Palm Inc. and ObjectValley (Asia Pacific) Ltd.
Five enterprises signed an agreement of sponsorship with the College of Higher Vocational Studies on April 12. They would offer sponsorship of teaching software, project consultancy, staff training as well as possible student employment to the College's Division of Commerce by the agreement.

When university lecturers met primary school children at two summer workshops, the result was a refresher course for both parties. The kids were exposed to an informal environment, learning mathematics through games, chess and even shopping. The lecturers experienced a new facet of the joy of teaching through contact with talented pre-secondary school children.
