CityU held the CityU Employers’ Luncheon 2023 on 27 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This marks the return of the highly acclaimed event after a short hiatus since 2019.
A brand new acapella version of the University Anthem at CityU has been recorded and performed by students from different cultural backgrounds. The new rendition demonstrates our spirit of “in harmony, not conformity”, embraces diversity, and unites the CityU community in pursuing excellence and creating a better future, all of which aligns with our integration of teaching and research.
The contributions that President Way Kuo of CityU has made over the last 15 years were fully applauded by the Chairman and all members of the Council at a meeting on 23 March. Attending the Council for the last time as President, Professor Kuo gave a brief presentation on the University’s substantial achievements during his highly successful tenure.
President Way Kuo of CityU received a two-minute standing ovation on 21 March from all attending members of the Senate after he gave a final presentation as President on CityU’s accomplishments over the past 10 years or so.
The novel tunable terahertz meta-device that allows for signal delivery to specific receivers has been developed by CityU.
