CityU has awarded the first William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics to Professor George Papanicolaou, Professor of Mathematics of Stanford University, in recognition of his exceptional contributions across a wide spectrum of research areas in applied mathematics.
Fields Medallist Professor Jean-Christophe Yoccoz, of Collège de France, delivered a lecture to staff and students on 5 November as part of the celebration programme of CityU's 25th anniversary.
